Parking on Acton Campus

The University offers differing types of parking options to staff, students and campus visitors.

Visitors and contractors are able to park in Pay As You Go parking zones and Pay & Display zones after paying the appropriate fee to do so. There are a limited number of time limited parking bays at no charge.

Disability parking bays are available across campus for holders of Australian mobility permits.

Parking restrictions apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week unless stated otherwise. Permit, Pay As You Go, Pay & Display (ticket) and time limited zones are in forced from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, public holidays excepted.

HC Coombs Building

The HC Coombs Building is one of the most well-known on the Acton Campus, with its distinctive hexagonal design. It was designed as the new home for the Research School of Pacific Studies and Research School of Social Sciences, which had been housed in the Old Hospital Buildings on the Acton Peninsula.

Attendees of IMMERSIA can look forward to a tour of this historic building, infamous for its maze-like complexity that gets most people totally lost! Someone once likened it to a "maze of rabbit warrens and possums."

And so, fittingly, guests can partake in a Lost in Coombs Tour and Treasure Expedition, getting an exclusive guided tour of some of our most priceless heritage art collections.
