Immersia returns in 2026 from 14 to 25 September! If you are interested in showcasing the cultures, traditions and languages of Asia and the Pacific with us, please get in touch via immersia.cap@anu.edu.au. We would love to hear from you!
From language and literature to food, film, music and martial traditions, Immersia brings cultures into conversation — and into your hands. It’s the School’s flagship festival, designed to change the way we experience multiculturalism: not as something to observe, but something to step into.
Each year, Immersia transforms campus into a meeting place of languages, traditions and contemporary voices from across Asia and the Pacific (and beyond). Workshops, performances, talks, tastes and unexpected encounters — it’s multiculturalism you don’t just watch. You join.
Interactive, surprising and deeply human, Immersia is where multiculturalism moves from theory to lived experience.
But we cannot do this without you. Without collaboration. Without shared connection.
We’d love to partner with you to make Immersia 2026 as vibrant, meaningful and immersive as the last four years.

Volunteer Program
Immersia is a free, fun and family-friendly campus event that brings together the diverse community at ANU as well as the Canberra ACT region.
There are always a variety of roles available for Immersia volunteers, from managing the information desk and guiding people to specific events and venues to ushering and helping with marketing, promotion and venue management.
We will be seeking volunteers who would like to get involved with the production and running of the festival in 2026 at a later stage, once planning for the next edition commences.
If you are interested, please submit your request to volunteer with us here.
