Book Launch: Mongol Mountain Journey

Time and Date: 4.15pm–4.45pm, 28 September

Join us at the Mongolian Ger on campus on the north side of the Coombs Building for a 'novel' book launch!

Mongol Mountain Journey is young adult fiction book, set in the thirteenth century during the time of Chinggis Khan. This historical and ethnographic-based book explores the connections between beings, both human and other animal, through the eyes of a young herding boy and how bonds can be strongly symbolic and very real.

This engaging book was written by Director of the ANU Mongolia Institute and CHL academic Dr Natasha Fijn, with wonderful illustrations by Mongolian artist, Zolboo Gansukh.

The group gathered for the book launch at 'the ANU ger' can then proceed together to the location of the opening of the exhibition at the Coombs Tea Room. The exhibition will be on display at the bridge area above the Coombs Tea Room.
